About Us

Powerful, Educated, Ambitious, Respected, Liberated Sisters (P.E.A.R.L.S) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on empowering and mentoring girls, ages 5-18 in Washington, DC. Our focus is to equip young girls to be socially, physically, financially and academically prepared for success. Our goal is to continue to reduce teen pregnancy by 10% by 2030 while encouraging our sisters and restoring the values of responsibility, commitment and productivity.

Since 2009, we've had partnerships with Cesar Chavez PCS for Public Policy - Parkside Campus, Hart Middle School, Fort Davis Community Center, Center City PCS - Capitol Hill Campus, Cesar Chavez PCS for Public Policy - Capitol Hill Campus, SEED PCS and IDEA PCS, serving over 100 girls. We have a college acceptance rate of 90% and teen pregnancy prevention rate of 80%.

After a 4-year hiatus, we're back and ready to continue our mission to serve, educate and support our young girls with after-school programming and special events.
